About Alison Pugh, LCSW, LICSW

I’m here to help you rediscover the version of you with less stress.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker providing online therapy to adults and veterans across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Texas.

If change was easy, we’d all be perfect.

I want you to know that you’re not alone. Most of us are just out out here winging it.

You're here because You’re used to being the one who handles things. The responsible one. The strong one.

I’m here to help you rediscover the version of yourself with less stress, more steadiness, and room to breathe. I’m a licensed clinical social worker providing online therapy to adults and veterans across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Texas.

I specialize in supporting high‑functioning, high‑achieving adults — the people who are used to being the responsible one, the strong one, the one everyone else can count on. You carry a lot, often quietly, and you’ve learned how to push through even when things feel heavy. But at some point, the stress starts to show up in ways you can’t ignore: anxiety creeping in at the edges, old trauma resurfacing, relationships feeling harder, or a sense that you’re “fine” on the outside while overwhelmed on the inside.

I understand that experience deeply. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the United States Air Force. That background shapes the way I show up in the room: steady, direct when needed, grounded, and deeply respectful of the weight people carry. It also taught me the importance of having a space where you don’t have to hold everything together — a space where you can be honest, slow down, and finally exhale.

My work is rooted in trauma‑informed, strengths‑based care. I believe people heal best when they feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. I bring a warm, collaborative presence to therapy, helping you explore what’s happening beneath the surface while building practical tools that support real, sustainable change.

Over the years, I’ve supported adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, parenting stress, identity shifts, and major life transitions. I’m especially passionate about helping people who look “put together” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck internally. You don’t have to carry all of that alone.
